Scooter Engine Builds by Tommy Thunder of Scootertronics

SOME OF TOMMY THUNDERS ENGINE UPGRADES FOR SCOOTERTRONICS

Today at the shop we built a slamming 50cc scooter .It was one of our local customers that needed a little more pep. It was a RSM Blazer YT-50. We use an MRP 80 kit that comes with all componets need to do the job .I than used one of our prodigy clutches and bell. I used Doctor Pulley slider weights and rejeted the carb .I also got rid of the stock air box and used and EMGO air filter .

When I was finished I tried the scooter out and it ran great .I am try a few more things with trans (blue tourqe spring and maybe up the weights a 1/2 to 1 gram and see if we get a little better range but I thing it runs bad ass now . The customer picked it up this after noon and loved the diferance.

Check out the size differance in stock and new piston

I have really been getting great sucess with the engines I have built. The parts for these types of engines have been getting better and better and we have learned all the tricks to making these do there maximum perfomance.

Here are some pics of some other engine I have done here at Scootertronics

This was for one our Apachee 50cc scooters. This one you can see the whole build at our youtube page at www.youtube.com/scootertronics.

We acually have been doing alot of video of our builds and will be putting more out.

This one is a 2 stroke 70cc upgrade that started my craze

This build was an 85 kit plus trans and a MRP V8 pipe

This one was a Kymco Cobra 70cc

I will be posting much more as I have the time as the seasons change stand by and ask away.

The Scooter Shop at Scootertronics

Scooters need service and most of all TLC by someone who knows at least how the work. With the emergence of scooters in 2008 because of gas prices more and more affordable chinese scooters are out there in need of service. The Scooter Shop at Scootertronics handles all types of repairs and upgrades for chinese scooters. With a web site at scootertronics.com and a shop in Maryland anyone can take advantage of the services and parts.
The Scooter Shop at Scootertronics offers the same high peroformance parts from scootertronics.com installed on your chinese scooter or Tawainese scooter such as Kymco and TGB plus many others and most SYM scooters using 49cc 139QMB four stroke engine. The 139QMB accepts many upgrades making this affordable engine become 85cc. By adding carb jets and high performance carbs and air intake you have a well running engine. Transfer this power to a trans that has DR Pulley clutch or Prodigy high performance clutch installed with a kevlar belt and about 5gram rollers not only do you have 50mph at top end you have a bottom end take to blow your mind.
